Dr. Mihir Patel was born in India and later moved to the United States when he was 12 years old. He was raised in North Carolina and attended North Carolina State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation, he was honored as class valedictorian and achieved the distinction of summa cum laude. Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Patel attended the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Upon becoming a Doctor of Medicine, he completed a residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston, including studies at the Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program.

While living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he met his wife, Khyati. After marrying, the Patels moved to Norfolk, Virginia. There, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in pain management at Eastern Virginia Medical School, a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Upon the completion of the one-year program, the Patels moved to Las Vegas in 2017 when he joined Assurity Labs. Living in Nevada, they welcomed a beautiful son, Lon, into their lives. Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family and taking in the great outdoors with activities like hiking and snowboarding.
