The road to recovery starts here. Let’s defeat your addiction, together.

Addiction is a disease that manifests differently in each patient — we understand that your treatment plan must reflect that. And, at Monos Health, you don’t have to worry about being judged because we truly care about your success and would never do anything to jeopardize that.

To provide the most accurate and effective care, Monos Health partners with InStep Recovery Services — the largest addiction recovery center resource in the U.S. — to assist with developing individualized treatment plans, or find more intensive solutions when necessary. Headaches

Migraine headaches are responsible for substantial disability in the United States with over 30 million people affected. Surprisingly, only 50% of these patients are actually diagnosed.

At Monos Health Headache Clinic, your initial visit will involve an extensive history and physical examination in a quiet, softly lit room. You will be asked to complete a Headache History Intake form prior to arrival. Not only will the headache be discussed, but there will be many other things that will be discussed that may include sleep habits, dietary habits, caffeine consumption, and medication use, as all of these are can be factors related to headaches. This initial visit might take 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on severity and complexity of the headache patient. Based upon the history and physical examination, a proper diagnosis will be established. It is not uncommon for patients to have more than one or two headaches each having a separate diagnosis. Next, after an appropriate diagnosis has been established, recommendations will be made and a plan formulated.

There is no simple magic pill for the treatment of headaches, and many patients require a multi-disciplinary approach for successful treatment. Some of our treatment options are below.

Treatment of headaches

  • Preventative medication
  • Changes to lifestyle and diet
  • Avoidance of migraine “triggers”
  • Integrative approaches, including natural supplementation, such as magnesium and melatonin
  • Physical therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy or biofeedback
  • Botox treatments
  • Sphenopalatine ganglion block; an FDA-approved, simple, painless 10-minute in-office procedure

Migraine headaches are common and quite disabling. Poorly treated, or under treatment of headaches can lead to a worsening of them in frequency “transforming” into chronic migraines.
